As some people know, MCPS is becoming more and more strict on its internet policies. Recently, they blocked CoolMathGames (go sign this!) and that stirred the petition linked. Now, they've been blocking most reading sites, such as Webtoons and DigitalBooks.io

Most of the reasons for these blocks are shown as 'adult oriented' though that's not true. Plenty of the books are great for middle-high schoolers, and NOT adult-oriented. Though there are some horror books, that shouldn't be considered adult content. We have plenty of suspense and horror books in our libraries, public, and school. The problem with MCPS blocking policies is that none of the websites that are blocked get reviewed beforehand, so many truly educational websites are restricted unnecessarily.
