Speed restriction not observed in 20mph zone in a residential area. The area has many young families and students using the road which follows University perimeter. It’s also used by many children who walk to schools either end of the road and dog walkers crossing to the campus. There has in the past been half hearted attempt for speed calming with a few speed bumps but these are dispersed to far apart and flat so not effective. The introduction of speed bumps will slow traffic and reduce the roadside pollution and stop speeding cars making crossing safer for all.
