Petition for New or more frequent bus service from Woodlands Avenue to Reading station

0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!

Currently there is only one bus every half an hour between Woodlands Avenue of Woodley and central reading. There is a new housing development called Parklands in this area which has more than 200 houses. Large number of these residents depend on public transport.

Children going to schools and colleges in central reading are regularly late or have to be dropped off to the nearest bus stop ( No 17 ) on Wokingham road which increases traffic on the roads. Commuters going to London face an increased journey time due to the  bad frequency of the No 14 bus. Some choose to drive to Twyford to take the London trains just because there aren't enough buses to go to Reading station. This also leads to too many cars and traffic problems in the mornings.

This petition is to request the Reading council and "Reading buses" to either increase the frequency of the No 14/ 13 bus or introduce a new bus from Woodlands Avenue area of Woodley to Reading station. As a comparison the bus No 17 from "Three tuns" to central Reading has an excellent service and runs every 7 minutes during peak times. A new bus service from Woodlands avenue to Reading Station via Wokingham road would be ideal but at least improving the frequency of the  existing 13 / 14 buses would also be a big help  in solving the current problem

Thanks a lot for reading through this petition . Please sign and share and help us get a better bus service from Woodley to Reading.
