This petition seeks to help bring about a monument to memorialise the individuals affected by the recent attack that occurred in Reading, England.

On June 20th, several individuals were killed and injured at Forbury Gardens, in Reading. This senseless attack occurred while many individuals were peacefully gathered and enjoying their evening. The tragedy has left the Reading community shaken and heartbroken.

When first reported the media suggested that the attack was somehow connected to a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest that ended hours before the attack took place.

Since the suggestions, Thames Valley Police and Black Lives Matter organisers, have made it clear that the incident was not connected to the protests that occurred earlier in the day.

The monument we are proposing will help bring the focus back to the individuals who were affected by the incident.

This petition is for the Reading community and all individuals that wish to join us in honouring the lives of those affected.
