We are appealing to Reachplc/Trinity Mirror to re-instate ANDREW BROWN as editor of the Southport Visiter and other sister titles.

  Andrew was born and lives in Southport, is proud of its heritage and knows - and is very much liked by - the residents and business people.

  Apart from being a fantastic journalist and editor, he is a family man with young children, he should not have been treated this way.

  We will be forced to boycott the group's newspapers if he is not re-instated forthwith - he should never have been made redundant.

  DON'T make him redundant - re-instate him forthwith. Thank you!
