As UK fans are aware, Prisoner (Cell Block h) was first shown in the UK in the 1990s on ITV and STV and then repeated on Channel 5 following the channel's launch in 1997. It's now been over 20 years since Channel 5 aired the final episode (692) in 2001, although disappointingly none of the channels showing Prisoner in the UK showed it in its full form, scenes were heavily cut from the episodes.

Since then, fans around the world have enjoyed the re-imagined version - Wentworth, which has also given Prisoner a whole new fan base too.

Australia have recently announced that episodes will be re-run on 10 Play and I think it would be great if it was revived in the UK too, on Freeview so that everyone can enjoy it without having to have a subscription to any other services.

There is also a newly established podcast available called Talking Prisoner, which has interviews with cast, crew and family members of those passed on, discussing their time on the show, which is brilliant for old and new fans.
