Triq il-Bazilika cannot indefinitely bear the heavy traffic diverted from Triq Il-Kungress Ewkaristiku which was meant to be a temporary diversion.

As it is a narrow and uphill road, the constant flow of buses and heavy vehicles has added tremendous noise and air pollution at the detriment of the residents. Constant smell of exhaust has become the order of the day.

We understand that the Mosta Local Council  is currently carrying out a consultation process on permanent traffic management in the area. 

We urge the Council @mosta.lc@gov.mt  to give due consideration to the impact on Triq il-Bazilika and its residents who have been suffering this inconvenience since works started, while holding out hope that they will be able to breathe easier once works are completed.
