Re-open the Railway line from Butterley through Ripley towards Derby

I would like the UK Government to consider reopening the former Midland Railway line that ran from Butterley to Hammersmith which also linked up with the Ambergate to Pye Bridge.
I believe reopening the section of the line between Butterley and Pye Bridge has huge benefits, especially when it comes to improving public transport in the area.
I think the top authority for the county of Derbyshire, which is Derbyshire County Council should back this petition, because something needs to be done in order to reopen this railway line, and bring back trains to the area!
Trains are needed in this area, in order to reconnect areas along this line where the local communities have had to rely on the local bus service and with all the bus cuts and service changes they aren't the best.
The communities along the line have also grown sinc Dr. Beeching axed the railways years ago and now in the 21st century we need the local councillors, councils and MPs to back this campaign and help promote it.
