Due to the previous COVID-19 crisis, Dunkin Donuts decided to stop serving drinks into customers' reusable cups. This means that all customers must accept their drink in a single use plastic or paper cup, even if they plan to put it in their personal container. This is not only very bad for the environment but heavily inconviniences those who need to use their personal container for travel, insulation, spillage prevention, etc.

This decision was made a corporate level, preventing individual franchise owners from choosing their reusable cup acceptance policy based on local health conditions. Therefore, change must be made at the highest level. Dunkin Donuts will only re-insitute acceptance for this if they understand there is strong demand from their customers. You are the customer, make sure they know what you want!

Why has Dunkin not done this already?

Before COVID-19, Dunkin gave $0.99 discounts to anyone who brought in a reusable cup. This was justified to them because customers were demanding more environmentally friendly corporations, and it's what they needed to do to stay competitive. The outbreak gave Dunkin an excuse to stop this policy and there has not yet been targeted demand for it to come back. Be that demand!
