Samuel Curry started this petition to Raytheon Technologies

Saudi Arabia recently resumed its bombing campaign in Yemen, where a civil war has lead to one of the world’s most dire humanitarian crises. Two million children in the country suffer from acute malnutrition, and thousands of Yemenis have died of cholera since the beginning of the war. COVID-19 is also battering the country's weak health care system.

American companies play a large role in this crisis. Raytheon Technologies is an aerospace and defense manufacturer with headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts. The company sells bombs to the Saudi government, who has used them to perpetrate repeated human rights violations, including a 2016 bombing of a wedding that killed 140 people. Saudi Arabia has also conducted numerous bombings of Yemeni health care facilities. The company has lobbied the Trump Administration to approve these arms sales over bipartisan objections from Congress. These actions are simply unconscionable.

Raytheon must immediately cease all sales to Saudi Arabia, publicly recognize its role in these atrocities, and donate the billions of dollars it has made from these sales to humanitarian relief efforts in the country. If, as United States citizens, we take great pride in our freedom, we must not allow American companies to deny freedom from war and disease to people around the world.
