Many students, faculty, and staff deal with negative attitudes and horrible service that take away from the Starbucks Experience. As a barista for the Starbucks on Lakeshore and Wildwood this hits close to home for me. I can't imagine doing something like pouring pure sodium on top of a cold brew. One word...Trash. I personally know that Starbucks does not stand for bad customer service, and the policies are in place to enforce a good experience for whoever walks into the doors. I do understand that this is not a corporate location, but that should not interfere with the humane treatment of ones coffee. We need a change, called certified baristas. Many have complained, emailed, and even called those who can make a change, yet nothing has been done. Often times people receive wrong, or even different drinks than what they ordered. They also have mediocre at best customer service. I believe that we can achieve something great if we try. This is NOT what our tuition should pay for. If we are required to pay thousands of dollars for "dining dollars", "blazer bucks", or the mandatory "dragon cash" we should at least receive tasteful foods and beverages. This is our call to action, and definitely a siren's song. Thank you.
