Safe and Better Access for Queenscliff

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,500!

Fund an accessible walkway (switchback ramps) across the Queenscliff Headland as part of the Manly to Palm Beach Coast Walk.

  • Access is poor and UNSAFE  especially for families with prams, people with disabilities, the elderly and for bike riders.
  • The only viable crossing in close proximity for prams, wheelchairs, the young, the elderly and for wheeling bikes opposite 41-45 Greycliffe Street is on an UNSAFE blind corner
  • Ramps fit within land already owned by Council and are supported by Council’s staff.
  • $22m of funding is already in place for Manly to Palmy $0 for  Queenscliff.
  • The stairs are an anomaly between Warringah and Manly Council. They were built in 1880 with no investment since. The amalgamated Council has the opportunity to correct this. The steel channel for bike access is woeful.
  • SUSTAINABLE benefits for residents, students, commuters and tourists leading to less car use and improved connection between Freshwater and Queenscliff beaches and with Manly Wharf. Recycled materials and improved native landscaping.
