We petition Randwick City Council to allow dogs on the boat ramp situated on Bay Parade, Malabar between 7.00am to 9.00am and also after 6.00pm.

At present dogs are not permitted on any boat ramp in the Malabar district.  In fact there is nowhere in the Randwick City Council precinct that dogs are legally permitted to swim!

Some of us are community members of the “Malabar Boat Owners and Sea Rescue Club” and like to contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of the boat ramp which includes cleaning up after our own and also people’s dogs.

Animals like humans also like to cool down on these hot days and since we cannot hose them down any more due to water restrictions, we are proposing these quarantined times to bring our companions onto the boat ramp for a swim.
