The proposed 5 storey Peachtree Village in Peachland should be 3 storeys only

0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!

Peachland Council have recently approved a proposed 5 storey mixed residential/ business condominium on Peachland's Beach Avenue in spite of a groundswell of protests from Peachland BC residents. Peachland is a small lakeside community of 5200 in BC's Okanagan valley, recently voted the most beautiful place to live in the Okanagan. Peachland features Beach Avenue which borders Okanagan Lake on 9km of public beach and public docks.  For years, Peachland's Official Community Plan, its Neighbourhood Plan and its Downtown Plan have all stated that the maximum building height on Beach Avenue will be 3 storeys. This is to preserve the view and view corridors for all of those who live in and visit Peachland. A single paper only petition by my Peachland neighbour, advertised solely  by a balloon on his front fence, received 1000 signatures within weeks opposing the 5 storey Peachtree Village. Council ignored it. So we will give them a larger petition. Please sign this online petition to request, as a citizen or as a tourist, that Peachland Council simply follow the expressed wishes of Peachland's citizens and insist that the maximum height of the proposed Peachtree Village be 3 storeys.  Thank you.
