My mother "Martina O McGrath
" was the lady whom poured gasoline over herself and set herself on fire. In failing to prevent her near-death suicide the New Farm Clinic have breached their duty of care. She was a regular inpatient at New Farm Clinic and her doctors did not monitor her adequately which lead to this:
"In 2013 my mother attempted suicide. She proceeded to pour gasoline over herself and I guess you could say she really did not want to be on this earth anymore. I used this image as I did not want to offend anyone by using something a bit more closer to being accurate of what happened so to speak. My mother was not living with me at the time. It occured during the early hours of the morning. She was 'put out' by a neighbour who saw her on fire. An ambulance responded and put her into a medically induced coma."
The news article relating to her story can be found here: http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/person-hospitalised-with-severe-burns-after-fence-fire-at-auchenflower-in-brisbane/story-e6freoof-1226635713529
Mum is now out of intensive care and in rehabilitation, she's doing a bit better. We do not have the money to take New Farm Clinic to court for breaching their duty of care, can you help my mum Martina & me pay for her bills or get some compensation for their negligence?
