Preeti M. Javedkar started this petition to Ramesh pokhriyal (Minster of Education of India) and

In light of the devastating impact of the second wave to the pandemic on everyone in India, I would like to bring attention to the concerns students of class 12 regarding the CBSE boards 2021.

1) If boards start from June 15th till mid July and the papers are corrected by August, how will we send our marks to college and when will we receive decisions? Most colleges start from August, so we'll be missing the crucial beginning of our first year. Also, we're not sure about whether colleges will accept us so late. Additionally, we need more time to prepare to leave for college this year because there'll be institutional quarantine wherever we go due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2) Countries worldwide have cancelled exams; even IB has cancelled class 12 exams in India. College admissions won't be affected by cancellation of class 12 boards as long as students have internal assessments. Why is CBSE so adamant about conducting the boards?

Postponement just prolongs our stress and fatigue while jeopardising our college admissions, but neither the central govt nor CBSE has addressed any of these concerns.

Class 12 students are tired, stressed, and helpless. Our family and friends are testing positive and many of them don't have access to proper health-care facilities due to the shortages in Delhi. The environment at home is very tense and anxious, and this is not conducive to studying. Students are being forced to choose between helping their family with managing the house and studying for their exams. If it's immoral to tell an adult to choose between their family and future, how can forcing children to make a choice between their families and future be humane?

Students are begging CSBE and the government to either hold the exams online within fifteen days or cancel them immediately with the students being assessed on the basis of previous performance and additional projects. We can follow the system being used for class 10 where students unhappy with their results can appear for exams when the situation is better.

Please help the students and their families in their time of need.
