Manish Pratap Yadav started this petition to Ramesh pokhriyal (HRD Minister) and

As per the latest IBPS-RRB notification, only those candidates are eligible to apply whose graduation results are declared on or before 21/7/2020 that makes many final year students ineligible, whose exams aren't conducted yet and as per instructions from Government Of India, no educational institutes will be opened in July so they will not graduate in the month of July.

Let's assume colleges opens in September and exam are conducted immediately after reopening then too the results will be declared in September only(if colleges hasten the grading process) in this condition too students will remain ineligible to appear for IBPS-PO and Clerk exam as in their previous year notification the applicant must be graduate on or before 28 August 2019(the last date for online application). If the same rule is followed this year than many candidates will miss out on the opportunity to make their career in the banking sector and will have to wait a whole year to become eligible and appear next year.

The same pattern is followed in the Reserve Bank of India recruitment process for the post of Grade B Officers and Assistant where the candidates must be graduate on or before the last date of registration.

In contrast, SBI has set educational eligibility for the recruitment of the Probationary Officers(PO) as "the applicant should have graduated before appearing for the selection interview if selected". This condition keeps in mind the aspirations of the equally competent final year students who are currently preparing for their final semesters when the notification of the exam comes and work hard to focus on their final exams and at the same time prepare for recruitment exams as well.

Also, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many aspirants who otherwise would've graduated in or before July are waiting for further instructions from the authorities for their final exams. Such candidates if not allowed to appear for the recruitment exams will suffer mentally and many competent ones will have to wait another year to start their career in the Banking sector.

I appeal RBI/IBPS and participating Banks to reconsider the educational eligibility norms set by them and provide a provision like SBI that allows equally competent final year students to appear for the examination and not miss on the opportunity to join the Banking sector right after graduating from college.
