Ramadan 2018 Blackout Challenge: Social Media Fast

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

As Ramadan 2018 gets close to an end, we want to encourage all Muslims to get closer to God.

One of the best ways to do this is by stopping all social media usage during the last few days of Ramadan.  We are pushing for a "Disconnect to Reconnect" initiative.  Disconnect from social media to reconnect with God.  Considering that more time and focus are lost using social media, rather than benefit gained...we are encouraging all Muslims to not just fast from food and water, but to also fast from social media this Ramadan!

We truly believe this will make a change in the global Muslim community, the Ummah. It starts with you as an individual.

All you have to do is:

  • Sign this petition (which is simply a promise to yourself)
  • Temporarily uninstall all of your social media apps (Instagram, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc)
  • (Optional) Leave a comment in the pledge form, letting us know one of your favorite charities.  Muslim Ad Network will be making $25,000 value in donations to the top 25 charities mentioned in the comments, insha'Allah.
  • (Optional) As your last post on your own social media channels, post a link to this petition form and an image of the #RamadanBlackout  provided in the blog post below.  It lets them know you've committed to the challenge (in case they are wondering where you are :) ), and helps spread the word so others can benefit, insha'Allah.
