Katherine Furlotte started this petition to Rallye Motors Hyundai

There has been hundreds of people who have been wronged by Rallye Motors Hyundai and other Rallye Motors. It's about time something gets done by it. This is my story! Please share yours as well!

In October of 2021, my father reached out to Rally Motors Hyundai to get a vehicle. He had just had a heart attack in July 2021, and has not been given the ok to go back to work by his doctor yet, because of being on disability now Rally was not able to give him a loan for a car without a cosigner. My dad told me this and I offered to co sign for him, my credits not perfect but I've worked hard to build it up and I work full time, 2 jobs. I know my dad has always been great with his payments so I figured it was not a bad idea for me as him making his payments on time would only help my credit. Now fast forward too Tuesday January 4th 2022, I reached out to my own car company who I originally bought my Mitsubishi RVR with, and was looking to trade my vehicle for a new one, to lower the interest rate after making my payments on time for 2 years and because now that my car has 17200 KM I don't currently have a warranty on my vehicle and I thought it was in my best interest to get a new one. The company came back to me and asked me why I was looking for a new vehicle when I just traded my RVR for a new vehicle in October. I came back and told them that I did not get a new vehicle and that I only cosigned for a car for my father. The registration is in both mine and my dad's name and the payments come out of my dad's account. The most recent one only coming out that same Tuesday. My dad has never missed a payment and is still paying for the car. The company told me that I am the only buyer on the Rally loan and my dad's name is not associated to the loan what so ever. She said something was not right with the loan and she was going to look into it for me. She called me back and told me that, the original agreement between Santander and Rally for them to accept me as a buyer was that Rally had to pay my Scotia Dealer Advantage loan off, Rally sent confirmation to them that they paid my loan. The company that was helping me with this called Scotia to see if Rally paid anything towards my loan. They didn't. She told me that Santander was already investigating this and they were going to be pulling back on the loan, giving Rally Motors 7 days to pay back the loan to them. She told me that Rally was going to call me and probably lie, probably tell me they have a recall on the vehicle, they might be honest and tell me Santander pulled back on the loan. And under no circumstances should I bring that car back to them or sign a new contract them with as I do not have too. The next day, Jeff Hyslop Director of Finance called me, he told me that he needed me to come in and look at a new bank to take over my loan as Santander had pulled back on the loan. Confused I asked him why he was calling me as I was only a co signer, he said the loan was in my name, I asked why that would be, he told me that was irrelevant. He said I needed to comply and come sit down with him or he would have to go another route. I said I would call my father to see when he was available and call him back. I was advised, to tell Jeff when he called back that something wasn't adding up and that I needed to seek legal advice before I could talk to him again. He didn't call me back. This morning Friday January 7, 2022 Rally Motors showed up with a truck and trailer at my father's house and took the vehicle. They had to cut a new key to be able to do this because when the car was sold they stated their was only one key. A key my father still has. I was advised to call the police and report the car stolen. The police called back after calling Rally Motors and said that Rally told them they took the car because the bank pulled back on the loan. The police did not look into the situation further as of yet because if they did they would see that Rally has not yet paid Santander their money, the registration is in my name and the ownership of the vehicle is still with Santander, not Rally. I went to Rally Motors and asked for Jeff. I have a recording of our whole conversation, Jeff simply told me that I was not going to be signing with a new bank and I was not going to be getting that car. I asked him why he has the car if he has not paid Santander yet, he said it would be done. But as of now, I stated to him, the car is mine. It is in my name and my father is still making payments. I called Santander, they did not pull back on the loan. The loan is still in my name. I am still registered owner of the car. Jeff told me I was invited to sit down with him on Wednesday and I did not call him back so now he would not be speaking to me, he asked me to leave as it was private property. I told Jeff to call the police then. He walked away and did that. I waited and waited, and I assumed he did not call the police because he knows if he did I would be able to prove I am the owner and I would be able to take the car. We then told a Sales & Leasing Specialist David Gauvin to go tell Jeff that we would leave for today we just wanted my father's belongings from his car.

He said no problem we were told to wait for them. Instead I followed him outside to the car, my brother opened the passenger door and see the registration sitting on the seat and took it and gave it to me. He contuined to give us my father's things and told us he would need to keep the registration of the car, I said I already had it in my hands, and my signature and my father's signature is on it and I would be taking it with me. I thought they would have wanted it. We left the dealership and we are continuing to take legal action. At the advise of a lawyer I was told I was better off to go inside and try and make a new deal, be sure I knew what I was doing before I signed anything, rather then sitting in small claims court for a year. That is why I went inside to see what Jeff would have to say. However Jeff was unwilling now to make a new deal. I will say I had no intention of doing into a new deal after they already committed fraud, and hit my credit 46 different times to get me into this loan. I am unwilling to let them check my credit 46 times again. I will not back down. I will sit in small claims court for 10 years. This is not the first time Rally has done something like this. And it will not be the last.

Preying on a single mother with three children, completely screwing my credit I've worked so hard to build, made every company believe I was credit seeking hitting my credit so many times. Stealing a car on private property and unwilling to do anything to make it right. I have attached screenshots, one of Mikel the original sales person telling my father he needed a cosigner. Another of Mikel texting me after Jeff had called me asking me to trade my RVR, obviously trying to cover their tracks, trying to find a new way to make up for the original fraudulent agreement. These two screenshots will basically just match the name to the number.
