While studying at the University of South Africa, Tumi Modibedi founder of I Stutter Foundation aspired to be a lawyer however he dropped out of his studies due to low self esteem that is caused by stuttering.

Stuttering affects individuals directly or indirectly.

The I Stutter Campaign aims to educate South Africans about Stuttering in our everyday environments especially Schools, Workplace and in our communities.

These obstacles faced by those struggling with stuttering has propelled Tumi Modibedi to take a bold step and dedicate his life to making sure that no child leaves his/her dream due to Stuttering.

The I Stutter Project is aimed at
Boosting Awareness in South Africa - Stuttering is not classified as a disability - however it is a condition that disadvantages communication and being understood by people living in these respective communities.

The campaign is driven to
Increase knowledge and raise awareness about issues relating to Stuttering. The campaign intends to Boost morale of stutters.Boosting confidence levels of stutters especially in schools.

The initiative that Tumi has pioneered on International Stuttering Awareness Day is called "306 000 Steps of Grace" - a 5 day walk of 233 kms from the city of Bloemfontein to Tumi's hometown of Kroonstad which is a journey of selflessness to raise Awareness to Stuttering.
