Child marriage is ruining young girl's life. It is a violation of child rights and Human Rights. 43 states in the United States Of America legalized child marriage. Child Marriage has been roaming around since the year 2000 up till now. Not only has it been enforced but parents in the US can force their underage pregnant daughters to get married even when she has been raped. According to Who We Are - Equality Now, when young girls are forced to marry, they are essentially subject to state-sanctioned rape and at risk of increased domestic violence, forced pregnancy, and adverse health consequences. If the U.S can increase the drinking age to 21, why can't they increase the age of child marriage to 18?
