India has nearly 68000 kilometers of railway route, criss crossing across the length and breadth of India. Every state in India, every kind of landscape - hill, plain, plateaus have railway lines and stations today. Darjeeling has a railway station at 2200 metres elevation. 

Despite this, Jashpur - a city in Chhattisgarh, loved by locals, ( having just 700 m elevation) doesn't have a railway station. The closest access for locals is Ranchi which is 150 kms away. And that's in Jharkhand.

This petition is for letting the Indian railways leadership know that the demand for rail travel and commercial sense are both there for building a railway station connectivity in Jashpur.
