Andrew Babson started this petition to Radnor Township Police Department

Dear Lowrys Lane neighbors,

This is a petition to request that the Radnor police department conduct a new traffic study of our street, in the hopes of confirming speeding problems which justify new, permanent speed control measures. According to section 270-67 of the Code, they need to base whatever measures they can take on a traffic study. Please sign the petition, now if possible!

After signatures have been gathered for the petition, I plan to attend the next traffic committee meeting, at the invitation of Spt. Chris Flanagan, to learn more about what measures are possible. Let me know if you'd like to join and we can coordinate.

This is not a new request. There was concern voiced by Lowrys resident Lisa Laird in 2018 and a study conducted in 2017 that found no problems, see here. I have hope, though, that a new traffic study would support additional, permanent measures. My motivations, which I think I share with many of you, come from a sense that people often speed and drive aggressively on the road all day, every day. We live on 141 and don't have a driveway, so it's an ongoing concern, but for anyone who uses the road, or who have kids waiting for the bus in the morning, you might agree. I don't think that speed tables and "Please Slow Down" signs are working.

In order to get them to do the traffic study, we need your signatures! 80% of Lowrys Lane residents, to be precise.

Non-Lowrys residents in Conestoga Village and Old Oaks and any other adjacent streets are also encouraged to sign; speeding and aggressive driving on our street affects them too. So, please pass this along.

Thank you!

Andrew Babson
