Due to multiple reports, we decided to not include the PHS Bully’s name, after multiple attempts of trying to be silenced. 
Gimena Rios, (student at Porterville High School) along with many other students, has faced persistent harassment, discrimination, bullying, racial profiling by (PHS bully, student at Porterville High). Instances such as, racial slurs as “ immigrant “, “ Hispanics are ghetto”, “ go back to your country “, “ you are the way you are because of where you come from “, other instances as commenting on Gimena Rios skin color, size, shape & features. There are anonymous victims that have came forward with duplicate experiences and have hesitated to come forward due to fear of retaliation and or/ impact to immigration status. PUSD states in their anti- bullying policy, that it prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying based on actual or perceived race, color, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, ancestry, age, creed, religion, political affiliation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, mental or physical disability, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy or parental status, medical information, military veteran status, or association with a person or a group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics or any other basis protected by law or regulation. In which, this PHS Bully has been in violation of . Gimena Rios, among many other students, has expressed their verbal altercations/ bullying with family or none at all due to fear of retaliation or no action taken by administrative staff. Students do not feel protected by PHS administration, adolescents have taken their own lives who attended PHS, due to bullies exactly like This Bully. In light of the video footage that was released on social media by other students, Gimena Rios had a emotional break down due to the nonstop harassment, discriminating comments, and constant bullying. Being emotionally overwhelmed she decided to finally stand up for herself and face bully. Now the education system is letting down another student once again. We ask you to sign this petition in empathy and light of the situation to bring awareness to bullying. The partial footage displayed on social media, only displayed the response of an emotionally overwhelmed victim.
