Quinnipiac School of Nursing Change of Expenses

Quinnipiac School of Nursing Change of Expenses
Why this petition matters
As seniors of the school of nursing at Quinnipiac University, we have incurred numerous expenses to get to the point we are at today. These expenses include tuition of upwards $50,000 a year, thousands of dollars each semester on required materials (books, access codes, scrubs, supplies, etc.), our own transportation and gas to and from clinical sites, among more costs. We have received no help with these expenses from the school and this has become a joking matter to the staff of SON. As seniors in our last semester we are now being asked to pay another 344$ for a review course for 3 consecutive days prior to graduation. As students of this institution we expect to be taught by Quinnipiac faculty and not have to pay for outside resources to do their job. This has caused frustration for the entirety of the senior class of SON. Many of us do not have the funds to purchase this course, have move out dates, limited meal plan left by that time in the semester, and also have to pay for items associated with the NCLEX & licensing. We ask that you help spread awareness on this situation with the hopes of invoking change.
