IF THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN ISNT IMPORTANT, THAN WHAT IS?!?

The resident's of Quilter Way, Harold Hill, have now had enough. Our young children play around outside the house as the road is full of youth throughout. As a parent there is nothing I value more than the children's safety and even with constant supervision we can't control the constant traffic flow of our road. It is used as a cut through but at speeds of 30mph which is far too fast with young children about.

Over the years now on two occasions has a resident been knocked down by a car.

We are asking for Havering Council to install bollards at the bottom of our road to make it only accessible either by foot or via Chippenham Road. This road has no need for the traffic flow it receives nor will these bollards have any impact other than a positive one upon safety.

As a child we are taught to stop as the curb and look left and right? Well these roads have no physical definition from the road, to the pavement nor to the drives. We need something to happen before something more severe happens.
