Anne Soni started this petition to Paulette Morin. Project Manager, Real Estate QuikTrip Corporation

QuikTrip Corporation of Tulsa, Oklahoma has purchased property at the corner of Atlas and Shop Roads in southeast Columbia, SC . They plan to build a large gas station / convenience store by Spring 2021.

Three live oak trees have stood on this property along Atlas Road for almost a hundred years. That's a century's worth of this community's wealth and assets.

Stop Quiktrip from razing these grand live oaks to the ground as if they were a nuisance, as if they didn't belong here.

Let them know their store will be much more convenient to the community they want to serve and profit from, more convenient to their customers, and more convenient to their own local employees if the trees remain standing.

Quik Trip  is an $11.2 billion company with 800 stores across 11 states, and over 24,000 employees. It's #29 on the Forbes listing of largest privately held companies.

They are in an excellent position to do the right thing and save three (3) trees. They are an industry leader that can figure out how to do this.

Signing this petition doesn't mean you think QuikTrip is a "dirty, rotten" corporation.   It means you're expecting to be good neighbors -  positive, mutually supportive,  longterm neighbors.

Please sign now.   The Initial phase of lot clearing has already begun.
