This is a petition to the Queensland Government to listen to the residents of Greenbank and surrounding suburbs regarding the impacts of making a high density residential development at Lot 9968 Pub Lane Greenbank nearly 50% larger. There will be impacts to roads, traffic, infrastructure, water runoff and amenities that require discussion and community consultation to deal with the large increase of people to come to Greenbank during to the urbanisation.
The Greenbank community (that has been advertised as an acreage community for many years), has a high density development planned (off Pub Lane - behind Woolworths and Sentinel drive). The development plan is seeking an additional 432 lots. The first development plan was for around 280 semi acreage blocks, approved by Logan council. The development plan was then changed to 1001 lots by the State government. Now, a new development plan is seeking to increase by 432 lots. Refer to DEV2017/831 submitted to EDQ http://www.dilgp.qld.gov.au/planning/development-assessment/priority-development-area-development-applications.html
Greenbank residents and the surrounding areas of New Beith and Spring Mountain) should be consulted about the increase of nearly 50% in lots proposed by DEV2017/831 application. The impacts to roads and infrastructure and amenities in Greenbank need to be considered and listened to, as the population of Greenbank doubles with the residential developments planned for the area.
Greenbank is 35 kilometers South of the Brisbane CBD. It is currently an acreage community. We need discussion, communication and consultation on the plans to expand this development at Lot 9968 Pub Lane Greenbank.
