Stop stock route management changes

Stop stock route management changes
The stock routes are for the people. Formed many years ago for transport and development of Australia, still used today for flora and fauna, connected travel for droving stock, cultural heritage public use and the greatest, healthiest living national park in the world, covering 72000km of roadways, reserves and waterways throughout Queensland. Together the Queensland stock routes make up 2.6 million hectares of beautiful heritage in Australian history.
The changes tabled to the stock route management will mean it be unreachable for all public, not affordable for droving and leased to adjoining property owners. This can not happen.
There needs to be no changes to include application fees. No increase to walking stock prices. Leasing restricted to 6 months or less and transparency on fees. Unfenced routes through landholders to be addressed. Access to ALL public on camp and water reserves. Fencing issues addressed. Destruction and dessertification of leased reserves addressed. The network needs to be preserved in its complete and entire state.
The routes are our heritage, our history and need to be managed fair and inclusive of all who wish to use them. To lose such an important part of history and Australias' future would be a tragedy.
Please sign the petition and share so we can stop the unfair changes that have been drawn up.
