Rochelle Hayes started this petition to Queensland Government
Currently the Australian government do not believe that specific Learning Disorder is a disability. This needs to change, the government believes that specific learning Disorder will only impact particular areas of learning such as spelling or memory whereas an intellectual disability (global impairment) will impact every aspect of an individual's cognitive functioning.
This is far from true, children whom suffer from this Disorder, suffer with numerous difficulties throughout childhood and well into their adolescents.
I am asking for everyone to support this cause and give every child the same opportunity for success.
Please change the way this is viewed and help us get children the help they need..
