Removal of N2000 arbitrary levy from Queens college Lagos PTA levy
Removal of N2000 arbitrary levy from Queens college Lagos PTA levy
Why this petition matters
Queen's College Lagos PTA Executives failed to follow due process by refusing to consult the parents for their approval or using the General last minutes of meeting resolution in the imposition of additional #2,000 levy in addition to the #5,000 that parents were already paying.
Parents have refused the arbitrary #2,000 imposition because the PTA executives didn't follow Due process before imposing the #2,000 additional development levy
.It is important to note that this same arbitrary #2,000 development academic levy was optional last term because it was not approved for payment by the General Assembly meeting. However, this second term January 2022,the PTA executives decided to make the levy a compulsory payment for all parents.
Some parents have sworn that they would under no condition pay the illegal, undemocratic, oppressive extortion.
The PTA executives have been advised by the Parents to stand down the #2,000 development levy as its imposition failed to follow due process.
A petition has been written to both the Queens College school principal and Federal ministry of Education to enable them call the PTA Executives to order.
