Durham Queen Creek Annexation as part of concurrent Rezoning and Site Plan submittal for an Earnhardt dealership.

Queen Creek is a town of history and tradition.  Ask any resident why they moved here and they will say it was for that small town feel. That small town feel is being infringed upon.  Currently there is an application to annex the 23 acres on the southeast corner of Cloud and Ellsworth to build a car dealership.  The town’s General Plan currently states that this land will be neighborhood/residential.  We need to keep it that way.  Not only will a car dealership negatively affect the use of the properties near there, but will also hurt the resale value of their property. Traffic congestion on Cloud and the already horrible Ellsworth Road will be compounded.  Especially with the plans for the new Queen Creek High School and Fry’s Marketplace that is already under construction in the same area.

Please sign this petition in support of stopping the rezoning of this 23-acres from residential to commercial.  Help Queen Creek keep that small town feel we all love!
