Make Mick Sherd Oval Great Again

Bungendore has 1 main sports field, this is used for soccer, rugby league, rugby union, Oz-Tag, school athletics and community events. Over the years Mick Sherd Oval has been deteriorating to the point where the Junior Tigers Rugby League cannot play home games there due to the safety of players. At the moment council has been using sand to fill divots/holes due to the irrigation system being changed weeks before the winter sports season. Oz tag had to cancel games as council stared working during their season. When asked for a meeting in Bungendore with various club officials, council refused. For the past 2 years the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council has refused to take ownership and responsibility for the oval's condition. They have received significant funding over the years to upgrade the oval but cannot seem to do so. The Bungendore Community deserves better and needs an oval that all sports clubs can safely use. We are asking for support to take to council so they will know what the Bungendore and surrounding community feels about their "Home" field.
