Students in Quebec are forced to go to school in person with COVID positive teachers in the classroom regardless of the students health conditions or the health conditions of family members. Students should have online learning as an option all the time. This means that even impuni compromised students or their parents have to take the risk even when it is known that a teacher in the classroom is positive, putting peoples live at risk for no good reason. Optional online learning is easy to du and makes education safe and accessible to all the way it was always meant to be. Why should a student have to choose between the safety of a loved one or the right to an education? All this is because of Quebecs minister of education Jean-François Roberge who is refusing to let students learn from home forcing them to attend school in person regardless of the risks it poses for them or their families. Online learning should always be an option, it take a teacher 10 seconds to turn on trams. And let me ask what is 10 seconds if it can help save lives? Is learning in person really worth sacrificing the lives of others? As a free country québécois should have the right to choose what is best for them and for their families.
