The QLD Premier is refusing to stick to the national plan and reopen interstate borders once vaccination rates have been achieved. There are families that would like to be reunited, especially over the Christmas period. There are tourism businesses being crippled. Pressure needs to be put on the Premier by the people of QLD and people who are interstate and have family in QLD who would like to see the border open according to the national plan. A plan that was agreed to by all State Premiers. This country, after all, is a democracy. Let the people’s will be heard. It is ludicrous that people in other states could potentially travel overseas before being allowed to cross a border in their own country!

I, myself, have a son that lives in QLD who I would usually fly up and see every second weekend. Now, it is unclear when I will get the opportunity to see him next without having to pay for Hotel Quarantine. And, I’m sure there are many, many more people in the same position as I am. People who would like to see the QLD’s premier listen to the advice of the Federal Government and stick to the plan. A plan devised not just for the sake of the economy but for the sake of reuniting families and returning to some level of normalcy as we begin to live with COVID-19 in a safe and sensible manner, in accordance with the Doherty Modelling.
