Rubbish. Racial Discrimination by police should be immediate dismissal and punishment.
Sadly, withdrawing the appeal, changes nothing.
As Attorney General, you should have pushed ahead regardless of what MAY have been the outcome.
Sad day for Australia!!

Governments should not defend police or anyone else who have been found guilty of racism, especially when it involves physical force.

aboriginals in custody deserve the same protection as non-aboriginal. Therefore the decision by the more independent umpire in the form of the Federal Court needs to be respected.

I support this petition because the Aboriginal people have been denied justice for far too long.
The late Chicka Dixon railed against the paltry outcome of the Royal Commission into Black Deaths in Custody, "they spent $50 Million on the Royal Commission and no one went to jail and one cop got fined $50!".
There is a reason why more Aboriginal people have died in custody since the Royal and there is a reason why Aboriginal people will continue to died in Queensland police and prison cells.
