Child care sick leave

It should be mandatory for accredited child care centres to provide sick leave for children. Having to pay for your child to remain home while they are sick is not in the best interest of the parents or the child care centre. It forces some parents into dropping off their sick child in the morning and refuse to answer their phone when the centre should not be caring for their child. This allows the parent to earn money to pay for the care provided.
This causes other children to become infected, which leads to parents and ultimately work colleagues getting infected.
Parents run out of sick leave to care for their child and it becomes a never ending circle.
All because there is no reduced or sick leave allowance for children in most care facilities.
