Let party members elect the State Leader, Senators, Administrative Committee and State Secretary
After the crushing defeat of the Rudd / Gillard government the ALP held its first ever direct election of leader.
The process has been overwhelmingly good – helping the party turn the corner after years of infighting.
Now its time to extend this reform to every corner of the party.
Labor is at it's best when Branch members are engaged in party processes, and allowing branch members to have a say in the leadership of our party will only make our party bigger and stronger.
It is time to let party members elect the State Leader, Senators, Administrative Committee and State Secretary - and build a stronger, bigger and more democratic Labor Party in Queensland.
