My name is Maria Antonieta Lagno, and I am a Chilean and an Australian permanent resident. I am a proud mother of two girls, that unfortunately have not seen their family for almost 2 years, but I am not the only one. The latest census recorded that in Australia around 26,000 Chileans live here, most of them in NSW.

The reason why I am writing to you is to request your consideration and include in  your "reopening plan" the route Sydney/ Santiago on December 2021, under the consideration that Chile has reached 71% of their population vaccination. This includes Chile in the list of the countries with highest population been vaccinated, in line with UK and USA, countries that are included in your route for the opening in December.

Moreover, nowadays there is only around 3,000 actives cases in the whole country, putting Chile under the consideration of a low risk country.

It would be amazing if Chile can be considered in this opening for December 2021, so thousands of families have the chance to meet with their love ones for Christmas. Thank you for your time and for your behaviour in this pandemic. You showed real values.
