IMPORTANT UPDATE (8/16/17): In July, the applicant resubmitted a variance request for 5211 E. Cheney Dr. asking for one and a half times the allowable disturbance area. Paradise Valley staff recommended denial and the applicant has asked that this item be continued to a later date yet to be determined. If the applicant resubmits a revised variance request, neighbors close to the property will be notified at least 15 days before a decision is made at a public meeting. It is important that we stand firm and send a clear message to the Town of Paradise Valley that we do not support any variances on our hillsides. Please spread the word and encourage others to sign this petition.

We love Paradise Valley because of our unique quality of life and the beautiful mountains that encompass our town. There is now another threat to the beautiful hillsides that we all love. Recently, an application for a variance was submitted that would more than double the amount of hillside disturbed on a lot located on Mummy Mountain. The lot asking for the variance is located at 5211 E. Cheney Dr., Paradise Valley, AZ 85253. This application not only jeopardizes Mummy Mountain, but continues a dangerous trend of special requests which could ultimately impact other hillsides and neighborhoods throughout our town.
On June 7th at 5:30 p.m. at Paradise Valley Town Hall, the Board of Adjustment will vote whether to approve or deny this variance. Please sign our petition in opposition to the variance and share the link with your neighbors and friends. We need your support to protect our PV hillsides from unnecessary disturbance.
