Why this petition matters
A petition of Pinnacle Care Behavioral Health Services and the community of Enid, Oklahoma
Addressed to the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services would like to bring your attention to the following problem with recommendation(s):
There is a serious drug problem in the city of Enid, Oklahoma. From drug paraphernalia consistent with the use of fentanyl, drug overdoses and suicide related deaths due to drugs this has wreaked havoc on this community. In fact, the Narcotics division has had countless numbers of investigations related to this issue and the numbers are continuing to rise. According to Eduardo A. Chavez, special agent in charge of the DEA’s Dallas Division, which includes Oklahoma, said in the release it’s impossible to distinguish between counterfeit or authentic prescription drugs when buying them on the street and quoted in the Enid News & Eagle article, “The consequences of taking these drugs outside the direction of a medical professional has proven to be deadly time and time again,” Chavez said in the release. “Today, Mr. Sanders and Mr. Huffman are being held responsible for their actions. “Fentanyl is poisoning our streets, and the DEA will never cease its efforts to remove these drugs from the streets of Oklahoma.”
