Marc Hardin started this petition to putnam county school system and

As you know, a Cookeville high school student was asked to remove their “faith over fear” mask today. While it is still developing if the mask in question was asked to be removed because the staff determined it was offensive or it was in violation of the school dress code policy is not the point of this petition. I think it is unfair that Putnam county can enforce students to wear mask all day and threaten suspension if you try to take it off for one second to breath. If Putnam county can enforce such a policy, they should allow students freedom to express theirselves! This is not a liberal or conservative point, this is about allowing students who have to wear a mask for 8 hours, to be given the right to express theirselves with their own beliefs. It doesn’t matter if a student wants to wear a BLM mask, a 2a mask, a Trump 2020 mask, or a Biden 2020 mask. If the mask isn’t in that hate speech category example (racial slurs, racially charged jokes) or unacceptable material such as (cussing, gang affiliation, sexual content) than students should be allowed to express theirselves and their beliefs because that is what makes students happy about wearing a mask. The freedom of expression!
