Why installing solar on all new and renovated buildings makes perfect sense

In the city of Tübingen, Germany, it is obligatory to install solar on all new houses and commercial buildings. A year ago, the local council decided on a policy which states that solar PV must be installed on the roof of all new buildings. The initiative was very positively received, as people determined that solar is a cheap and easy way to take climate action. In May 2019, SolarPower Europe visited the city to find out more about their solar rooftop initiative. There, we spoke with Bernd Schott, Head of Environment and Climate Protection department of Tübingen. Sign the petition to see more cities around Europe installing solar!
