On May 2nd, 2022, a draft from Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade federally was leaked and has been causing static shock around the nation ever since.

The rollback of Roe v. Wade will affect millions upon millions of women, regardless of their socioeconomic class. Women will be forced to resort to back alley, less safe pregnancy terminations that may prove to be fatal or permanently destroy the impregnated woman’s health. And this ban won’t stop at abortions, they are going to target contraceptives, ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages, etc. This is a total annihilation of a woman or girl’s choice to bear a child and a denial of her free-will. 

What the Women’s Health Protection Act will do is federally guard the right to access safe abortions throughout the US.

The ban will be enforced on the 1st of July. Time is quickly depleting to put pressure on our Congress to pass the WHPA. We must do everything feasible to prevent this dreadful reality from becoming true!
