The U.S has a serious problem of gun violence occurring on school grounds. This issue is important to me because I am a student. As many of you probably know there was recently a school shooting in a texas elementary school where 19 children and 2 teachers were killed. The threat got in through a side door in the school that was unlocked. My goal for this is to get a bill into congress that proposes the idea of having locks on all school doors in the U.S.
