Push for a Lincoln County CASA program | Advocate for neglected & abused children
Why this petition matters

Lincoln County, WI has serious need for a court appointed special advocacy (CASA) program, as there are several neglected and abused children throughout our community; mostly as a result of our out-of-control drug problem in the area.
Social services cannot keep up, and there is simply not enough advocacy or outreach for these children. A CASA program is a volunteer-based program that would only take one paid position with an average annual salary of about $50,000. That position would be to recruit and train the court appointed special advocates (volunteers).
A CASA volunteer is a mentor and advocate appointed by the courts to help children who have experienced abuse and neglect. They are a caring adult that provides a consistent relationship, while also building a long-term support network, and guiding the youth through the dependency system.
Having this relationship established is not only beneficial for the child(ren), but also for social services, local law-enforcement, and foster families.
PLEASE, sign this petition to get the proposal moving forward so that we can do better for our community and these helpless children who do not have a voice!
