Jun 24, 2012 — Alumnus writes Daniels is not what Purdue needs right now in a president
I am a Purdue alumnus, a semi-retired research cancer scientist/research doctor. I served on active duty as a commissioned officer during the Vietnam War. I continued my education at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, Johns Hopkins Oncology Center in Baltimore, and in Medical Oncology, Duke University Comprehensive Cancer Center in Durham, NC. I have extensive teaching and research experience. Like you, I also have experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a Clinical Oncology Project Leader at Burroughs Wellcome Co., and then GlaxoSmithKline.
Please do not accept the position of President, Purdue University. You can better serve our country as a Cabinet Member in the next Presidential Administration. The next Purdue University President in our current economic environment must have the skills and expertise to.........
