Stop Academic Program Cuts at IPFW
This petition had 1,679 supporters
At IPFW, academic programs are being threatened (and some have already been suspended) in the interest of cost-effectiveness. However, the Purdue Board of Trustees chose to cut half of the humanities programs - and humanities comprise 62% of enrollment at IPFW.
Not only are they limiting our access to higher education, they are actively cutting programs that students want to be a part of. These cuts will reduce the number of new students at IPFW and reduce the quality of education for students already enrolled. For a university dedicated to quality education for all, this seems counter-intuitive to their core mission.
The Purdue Board of Trustees will make a final decision on November 15, 2016. This petition to STOP these programs from being cut will be sent directly to them in hopes of getting them to reverse their decision.
