Provide Free Menstrual Care Products in Purdue University Bathrooms

Free Menstrual Care Products in Purdue University bathrooms are long overdue.
It starts with how we define "necessity". By not currently providing for these basic needs, Purdue University cannot demonstrate that the menstrual health of their students, faculty, and staff is important to them. Menstrual care products are not luxury goods because menstrual care needs are not a choice (Check out the Murphy's Law of Menstruation Infographic courtesy of freethetampons.org). Menstrual care products are just as necessary and should be just as free as the toilet paper, seat covers, soap, and napkins in bathrooms.
By placing these products for free in bathrooms, the university is able to provide for basic needs of its students, faculty, and staff. In doing so, the university validates their needs and provides comprehensive and inclusive solutions. Help create an environment that encourages success by starting us on strong foundations that meets our needs so we can go on to learn, grow, teach, and help improve the world around us.
Our vision: We are hoping to gauge support from students, faculty, staff, family, and friends of the Purdue community to start a pilot program and eventually move on to a university-wide implementation of menstrual care products in all bathrooms.
We appreciate all the support we can get so please sign and share this!
