Bring Back Study Periods in Lanark Grammar School

At Lanark Grammar School in the next academic session 2017/18 onwards, S5 and S6 pupils will be denied the timetabled study periods that have been common practice to date. Instead their day will be timetabled with stated subjects/classes. This leaves no flexibility for developing self motivated study which is vital in preparation for further and higher education as well as the work environment. Without these periods, many pupils will loose time in which they could study in a quiet environment. This could mean the difference between passing or failing in key subjects. We the undersigned are asking Lanark Grammar School to reverse this decision.
